Kookmin Bank Issues Hybrid Tier I Securities
On January 16, 2003, the board of directors of Kookmin Bank has approved and
ratified Kookmin Bank's issuance of Hybrid Tier I Securities in order to
diversify its capital portfolio and improve its BIS capital adequacy ratio.
Kookmin Bank announced that detailed structure including the deal size will be
determined depending on the market condition and approvals of the related
financial supervisory organizations.
