ITEM 8.01 Other Events
As previously disclosed on the Form 8-K filed with the Commission on May 21, 2010, Adams County National Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of ACNB Corporation, filed an application with the Pennsylvania Department of Banking to convert from a national banking association to a Pennsylvania state-chartered bank and trust company. By letter dated August 17, 2010, the Pennsylvania Department of Banking notified Adams County National Bank that it had approved the Bank’s application to convert to a Pennsylvania state-chartered bank and trust company. The Bank expects that the conversion will take place early in the fourth quarter of 2010.
