ITEM 8.01 Other Events
As previously disclosed on the Form 8-K filed with the Commission on August 20, 2010, the Pennsylvania Department of Banking approved the conversion of Adams County National Bank, the wholly-owned subsidiary of ACNB Corporation, from a national banking association to a Pennsylvania state-chartered bank and trust company by letter dated August 17, 2010. The conversion of Adams County National Bank took effect on October 4, 2010, and the Bank now operates under the name ACNB Bank. Details of the conversion are explained more fully in the attached press release dated October 4, 2010. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
