Complete Principal Photography on "Our Fathers"
TORONTO, ONT. - Peace Arch Entertainment Group Inc. (AMEX and TSX: PAE), a diversified Canadian entertainment company and Showtime Networks Inc., a subsidiary of Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA, VIA.b), announced today the completion of principal photography of the feature film Our Fathers.
"Our Fathers" is the epic account of a small-time lawyer who uncovers the systemic cover-up of child abuse by priests in the Boston Archdiocese. The film is directed by Dan Curtis from a screenplay by Thomas Michael Donnelly based on the critically acclaimed novel Our Fathers: The Secret Live of the Catholic Church in an Age of Scandal by David France. Ted Danson (Saving Private Ryan and 3 Men and a Little Lady), Christopher Plummer ("A Beautiful Mind" and "The Insider), Daniel Baldwin (Homicide: Life on the Street), Ellen Burstyn (Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood and The Exorcist) and Brian Dennehy ("Stolen Summer" and "Romeo & Juliet) lead the all-star cast.
This is the first film produced pursuant to the May 2004 agreement between Peace Arch and Showtime to co-finance and distribute up to 15 motion pictures over a three-year period. Peace Arch intends to release the films theatrically throughout the world, and Showtime will premiere them on its pay television network in the United States.
