Peace Arch® Entertainment Acquires International Distribution Rights to Feature Film “A West Texas Children’s Story”

DRAMA STARS HEATHER GRAHAM, DYLAN MCDERMOTT, LARA FLYNN BOYLE, MATTHEW MODINE, VAL KILMER

Toronto – December 15, 2006 -- Peace Arch® Entertainment Group Inc. (AMEX:PAE - News) (TSX:PAE.TO - News), an innovative film and television entertainment company, has acquired all distribution rights outside the United States to the drama “A West Texas Children’s Story” as the Company continues to expand its portfolio of film, television and DVD productions.

The film stars AnnaSophia Robb (“Charlie and The Chocolate Factory,” “Because of Winn Dixie”), Cayden Boyd (“X-Men: The Last Stand,” “Mystic River”), Lara Flynn Boyle (“The Practice,” “Huff”), Matthew Modine (“Short Cuts,” “Pacific Heights”), Val Kilmer (“Kiss Kiss Bang Bang,” “The Saint”), Heather Graham (“Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me,” “Boogie Nights”) and Dylan McDermott (“In The Line of Fire,” “Three To Tango”).

The film, from Thom Mount’s (“Night Falls On Manhattan,” “Natural Born Killers,” “Bull Durham”) Whitsett Hill Entertainment, is directed by Brad Isaacs (writer on “Roseanne,” “The Larry Sanders Show,” “Newsradio”) who also wrote the script, produced by Morna Ciraki and Arturo Muyshondt, and executive produced by Mount, Polly Platt (“The War of The Roses”) and Ryan Howe.

In “A West Texas Children’s Story” AnnaSophia Robb and Cayden Boyd play two teenagers who embark on a life changing adventure. After growing up with distant parents they take to the road encountering a variety of unique characters throughout their incredible journey, each of whom offers them a chance to learn more about the world around them and about each other.

“A West Texas Children’s Story” recently completed production in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Penny Wolf, managing director of Peace Arch’s theatrical films sales division, Peace Arch Films, said, “Reminiscent of great coming of age films like ‘Paper Moon’ and Stand By Me,’  ‘A West Texas Children’s Story’ is a truly universal tale set to appeal to a wide range of audiences the world over.  A great cast, including stand out performances from the young leads, adds further pedigree to the production.”

“A West Texas Children’s Story” is among the more than 20 feature film, television and DVD productions that Peace Arch Entertainment produced or acquired over the past 12 months, including the 2007 Sundance Film Festival invitee and San Sebastian Film Festival prize-winning satire “Delirious” starring Steve Buscemi, Michael Pitt and Alison Lohman; another 2007 Sundance Film Festival invitee “Chapter 27” starring Jared Leto and Lindsay Lohan; the recently completed ten-hour event television series “The Tudors” starring Jonathan Rhys-Myers and Sam Neill; and the recently completed romantic comedy “Watching The Detectives” starring Cillian Murphy and Lucy Liu.
