Item 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition.

 

On June 2, 2005, Bassett Furniture Industries issued a news release announcing the acquisition of a controlling interest in eight Bassett Furniture Direct stores in greater Dallas, Texas, and discussing the expected effects of that acquisition on the Company’s second fiscal quarter ended May 28, 2005 and for the balance of the current fiscal year ending November 26, 2005. A copy of the news release announcing this information is attached to this report as Exhibit 99.
