Item 8.01. Other Events

As of December 1, 2008, Mr. Ben van Schaik has been appointed as an Advisor to the Board of Directors of Lithium Technology Corporation (the “Company”). Mr. van Schaik has been asked to serve as an Advisor on account of his long standing experience in the automotive sector, as well as his extensive network within the industry. As the former Chief Executive Officer of DaimlerChrysler in Brazil, Mr. van Schaik gained a stellar reputation for his vision and managerial qualities. Currently, Mr. van Schaik is a Member of the Supervisory Board of Groeneveled Groep and Member of the Supervisory Board of Heineken Nederland. Mr. van Schaik will be paid €1,500 per month for his services. On December 10, 2008 the Company issued a press release announcing this advisory appointment.
