ChipMOS REPORTS SEPTEMBER 2011 AND 3Q11 REVENUE

Hsinchu, Taiwan, October 17, 2011 - ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES (Bermuda) LTD. (“ChipMOS” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: IMOS) today reported its unaudited consolidated revenue for the month and quarter ending September 30, 2011.

Revenue for the month of September 2011 was NT$1,560.2 million or US$51.2 million, an increase of 5.8% from the month of August 2011 and an increase of 3.5% from the same period in 2010. On a quarterly basis, revenue for the third quarter of 2011 was NT$4,461.5 million or US$146.5 million, a decrease of 4.5% from the second quarter of 2011 and a decrease of 5.4% from the same period in 2010. This is in line with prior guidance provided on August 18, 2011. All U.S. figures in this release are based on the exchange rate of NT$30.45 to US$1.00 as of September 30, 2011.
