METHANEX TO PRESENT AT CIBC INSTITUTIONAL INVESTOR CONFERENCE

Methanex Corporation will be presenting at the upcoming CIBC Institutional Investor Conference in Whistler, British Columbia. Mr. Bruce Aitken, Methanex’s President and Chief Executive Officer, will speak to investors on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at approximately 3:30 p.m. PT (6:30 p.m. ET).

Interested participants can access a live webcast of the presentation through the Company’s website at www.methanex.com/investor/events.html. The length of the webcast will be approximately 30 minutes. The webcast will be available on our website for three weeks following the conference.
