(1) Includes 2,523 shares owned indirectly through the People's United Bank 401(k) Plan. Also includes 2,641 investment units accrued under the People's United Bank excess benefits plan and 588 shares owned indirectly through the People's United Financial, Inc. Employee Stock Ownership Plan. Information is based on 9/30/08 Plan statements.
(2) This transaction was executed in multiple trades at prices ranging from $17.65 to $18.15. The reported price reflects the weighted average sales price.
