NOTICE TO THE MARKET

 

 

Companhia Brasileira de Distribuição (“Company”) hereby announces that, at this very date, its subsidiary Via Varejo S.A. (“Via Varejo”) filled at Administrative Council for Economic Defense (“CADE”) the agreement for selling , under certain suspensive conditions, eighteen stores, representing 0.7% of gross sales of Via Varejo for the fiscal year of 2012, for purposes of complying with one of the steps of the Settlement (Termo de Compromisso de Desempenho – “TCD”), entered undertaken with CADE pursuant the association of the operations of Casas Bahia and Pontofrio, as detailed on Material Fact announced by Via Varejo at the present date.

 

The Company shall maintain its shareholders and the market well informed over any material severance in connection with the compliance of the TCD.
