Excel Maritime Announces Management Change in Operations
ATHENS, GREECE November 05, 2010 Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd (NYSE: EXM), an owner and operator of dry bulk carriers and a leading international provider of worldwide seaborne transportation services for dry bulk cargoes, today announced that Mr. Charalampos Mazarakis, COO will be leaving the Company to pursue his career interests outside the shipping industry, joining National Bank of Greece, the leading Greek banking institution at a senior management role.
Mr. Gabriel Panayotides, Chairman of the Board, commented, We would like to thank Mr. Mazarakis for his contribution to Excel and wish him every success in his professional endeavor. We look forward to continuing our close cooperation with Mr. Mazarakis in his new capacity, as well as with National Bank of Greece.
