ATHENS, GREECE – April 27, 2011 – Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd (NYSE: EXM), an owner and operator of dry bulk carriers and a provider of worldwide seaborne transportation services for dry bulk cargoes, announced today that it will release its results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2011 after the market closes on Monday, May 2, 2011.

On the next day, Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. EDT, the company’s management will host a conference call to discuss the results.
