TELMEX DENIES RUMORS ABOUT DELISTING OR MERGER PROCESSES

Mexico City, December 7, 2006. About the rumors that have been circulating today, Teléfonos de Mexico, S.A.B. de C.V. (TELMEX) (BMV: TELMEX; NYSE: TMX; NASDAQ: TFONY; LATIBEX: XTMXL) informs that the comments about delisting or merging the Company with its holding company are false.
