On May 17, 2010, Protalix BioTherapeutics, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing
that that the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) of Israel’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor
has awarded the Company a grant of up to $4.1 million for calendar year 2010. A copy of the press
release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
