On December 23, 2010, Alimera Sciences, Inc. (“Alimera”) issued a press release announcing
that it has received a Complete Response Letter from the US Food and Drug Administration regarding
its New Drug Application for Iluvien® for the treatment of diabetic macular edema. The full text
