ITEM 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
     On May 2, 2006, Allis-Chalmers Energy Inc. (the “Company”) announced earnings results for the quarter ended March 31, 2006. In addition, on May 2, 2006, the Company is making a presentation to analysts and investors to provide a financial and operational update. A copy of the Company’s first quarter earnings press release is attached as Exhibit 99.
     The exhibit described above is not being “filed” for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, but is being furnished solely to comply with Item 2.02 of Form 8-K and Regulation FD promulgated by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
