Tell us about Time To Really Live Free.

In Time to Really Live Free, I share my journey of abandoning legalism to fully embrace God's grace.

For years, I believed I was living “free in Christ,” but in truth, I was burdened by guilt, shame, and a constant need to perform—for God, for others, and for myself. One day, as I revisited the story of the adulterous woman brought before Jesus, I found myself asking again: How could He tell her to “go and sin no more?” My life didn’t reflect that kind of freedom. That moment marked the beginning of a four-year journey where God gently unraveled the old religious “truths” I’d learned and replaced them with His truth—rooted in grace, not performance.

In the book, I share the questions, struggles, and breakthroughs that helped me finally understand what it meant to live under the New Covenant. Through personal anecdotes and biblical insights, my goal is to inspire readers to release fear and guilt, foster a deeper, more authentic relationship with God, and ultimately, live a liberated and fulfilling life.

What inspired you to write Time To Really Live Free?

The inspiration to write Time to Really Live Free came from a deep desire to share the newfound freedom I was experiencing with others. As I began to truly experience God’s grace—free from the guilt, fear, and condemnation that had defined so much of my faith—I felt called to share that freedom with others. I wanted to offer a clear, step-by-step path through what God had revealed to me, so others could move beyond performance-based faith and discover the vast, open space of God's love and grace.

How did you feel when you found out you received a Book Excellence Award?

I’m deeply honored to have been named a Book Excellence Award Finalist in Christian Nonfiction. This recognition elevates my voice in a powerful way, helping my book reach a wider audience seeking freedom, grace, and spiritual growth. The Book Excellence Awards are known for spotlighting exceptional books that make a meaningful impact, and being included among such distinguished authors is both humbling and inspiring.

How did your background and experience influence your writing?

At thirty, I accepted God's free gift, and soon after, church leaders began calling me a prophet.By forty-seven, while serving as a prophet in my church, God opened my eyes to grace, but when I shared this with leadership, it was met with resistance.

That moment became a catalyst.

I turned to writing as a way to give voice to what I could no longer keep silent—to reach those hungry for truth, freedom, and a deeper experience of God’s love beyond religious boundaries.

What is one message you would like readers to remember?

If there’s one message I hope readers carry with them, it’s this: true freedom in Christ doesn’t come from striving, rule-keeping, or trying to earn God’s love—it comes from embracing His grace.

Like Paul in Galatians 2:19–21 (MSG), I discovered that living by performance-based religion only leads to exhaustion and disconnection. When I stopped trying to impress God and others, and allowed Christ’s life to live through me, everything changed. My ego quieted, my spirit awakened, and I finally understood what it meant to live free.

This book is my invitation to others to step out of religious pressure and into a deep, grace-filled relationship with God. I dedicate it to those who’ve gone before, walked alongside me, and will come after—real people living out real faith. You are the true church, and I’m honored to walk this journey with you.
