Mind Brain Institute, a mental health clinic based in New Delhi, has launched a structured treatment program that brings together a range of therapeutic approaches for individuals facing treatment-resistant mental health conditions. The program integrates Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), QEEG-guided Neurofeedback, Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Biofeedback, Brain Mapping, and non-pharmacological neuromodulation tools such as transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS).
This two-week protocol is designed for patients diagnosed with depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), PTSD, and anxiety disorders who have not responded well to standard treatments. According to the institute, the program is customized based on each individual’s QEEG brain map and HRV stress profile, allowing for a more targeted therapeutic approach.
In addition to neurophysiological techniques, the program incorporates holistic elements such as yoga, breathwork, and sound healing, drawing from both Western clinical frameworks and traditional Eastern wellness practices. The combination of these modalities is intended to support emotional regulation and neural restructuring without an exclusive reliance on medication.
The founder of the institute, Dr. Anuranjan Bist, is a psychiatrist trained in both India and the United States. With over two decades of clinical experience, he has been at the forefront of introducing newer therapeutic modalities like TMS and Ketamine Therapy in India. After years of psychiatric practice in the US, Dr. Bist returned to India with the aim of making newer clinical protocols more accessible within the country.
“Our objective is to offer a medical setting where neuroscience-based tools can work alongside complementary therapies to improve outcomes for those who have exhausted traditional options,” said Dr. Bist. “This approach is not focused only on symptom relief but also on long-term functional recovery.”
The institute reports that each therapy included in the program has been selected for its role in modulating the nervous system. For example, Neurofeedback aims to regulate brainwave patterns through real-time monitoring, while HRV training is used to strengthen autonomic balance. Transcranial stimulation and VNS apply mild electrical impulses to influence specific brain circuits involved in emotional processing.
Supportive therapies such as Tibetan sound healing and mindfulness-based yoga are used to reinforce physiological relaxation and help maintain treatment effects. These elements are led by Sandra Kappler, an educator and certified therapist with training in trauma and special education, who co-leads the center’s integrative wellness initiatives.
Mind Brain Institute operates centers in both India and the United States and has treated more than 3,000 patients to date. With this recent launch, the team hopes to expand access to structured, precision-focused care that addresses both biological and psychological dimensions of mental health.
