Kevin D. St. Clergy is an acclaimed entrepreneur, author, and business strategist on a mission to help 100,000,000 people find the root cause of a problem they can't see. Over the course of a 25-year career, he built, scaled, and successfully exited companies across healthcare, marketing, and real estate, earning a reputation for seeing what others miss when growth plateaus and pressure mounts. After a landmark company exit in 2022, St. Clergy shifted from building businesses to decoding why even the most driven leaders remain stuck despite doing everything right.
He is the creator and host of Beyond Blind Blaming, a book, podcast, and coaching platform that has rapidly gained attention for helping clients achieve transformative growth in business, relationships, and leadership. His revolutionary methodology, endorsed by thought leaders including Jack Canfield and Russell Brunson, exposes how high performers unknowingly solve the wrong problems while the real issues stay hidden.
Through his coaching and certification programs, including his MFD Table masterminds and M3 Mastery groups, St. Clergy is spearheading a global movement that is reshaping how leaders think, decide, and scale. His philosophy centers on one core principle: real breakthroughs happen when you stop solving the wrong problem and finally see what's been holding you back all along. This one-on-one interview shares Kevin’s background and experience writing Beyond Blind Blaming: Stop Solving the Wrong Problem and Instantly Unlock Results.
Tell us about Beyond Blind Blaming: Stop Solving the Wrong Problem and Instantly Unlock Results.
You're not failing at solving your problems. You're succeeding at solving the wrong problems perfectly.
In Blind Blaming, I reveal why so many successful business leaders feel stuck despite working harder than ever: they're fixing symptoms, while the real problem remains invisible.
I learned this lesson early. At eleven years old, I kept striking out in baseball and everyone blamed my attitude, my swing, and my motivation. The truth? I couldn’t see the ball! I needed glasses and no one thought to check. That moment became the foundation of a life’s work dedicated to uncovering the real cause behind repeated failure.
Through powerful examples and real-world case studies, this book introduces my proven RCD Method (Reflect, Connect, Decide), a practical framework for identifying what’s actually holding you back and making decisions that finally move the needle.
Whether you’re an entrepreneur hitting a revenue ceiling, a leader questioning every decision, or someone watching their relationships fall apart despite trying everything, Blind Blaming gives you the clarity to see what’s been hiding in plain sight.
Your breakthrough isn’t about working harder, it’s about working on the right problem.
When you finally do, everything changes.
What inspired you to write Beyond Blind Blaming: Stop Solving the Wrong Problem and Instantly Unlock Results?
The idea for Blind Blaming crystallized after I sold my companies and joined a mastermind focused on TEDx talks. During an exercise on defining my biggest life lessons, my childhood baseball story kept coming up. Everyone in the room immediately connected with the concept of blind blaming because they had all experienced it.
As I began sharing the framework with high-level entrepreneurs running eight- and nine-figure businesses in Russell Brunson’s Inner Circle, everyone kept saying the same thing: “This applies to everything in my business, my team, even my family.” When Jack Canfield endorsed the concept and respected authors urged me to write the book, it became clear this wasn’t just a personal insight. It was a universal reason as to why so many driven people stay stuck, working harder than ever, but solving the wrong problem.
How did your background and experience influence your writing?
I spent more than 25 years in the trenches building, scaling, and exiting companies across healthcare, marketing, and real estate, experiencing the pressure points most business advice never touches: having to make payroll when the bank account's empty, betting on decisions with no safety net, and carrying the weight of outcomes that can’t be theorized away. Those years shaped how I think, decide, and write.
After my company exit in 2022, I shifted from building businesses to helping other entrepreneurs break through the same ceilings I once faced. Working closely with coaches, consultants, and business owners through my Blind Blaming Certification, MFD Table masterminds and M3 Mastery coaching programs, I’ve seen the same patterns surface again and again across industries. My work isn’t academic or theory based, it’s based on lived experience. I've made the mistakes and figured out why some people break through while others stay stuck. I write for entrepreneurs because that’s where the impact is. Business owners need frameworks that actually work, not more motivational fluff.
What is one message you would like readers to remember?
When you're struggling, simply ask yourself, "Is there something going on that we can't see?"
Your breakthrough isn't about more effort, more hustle, or more motivation. It's about finally seeing what's been hiding in plain sight.
Most people waste years, sometimes decades, solving problems that aren't the real issue. They blame their team, their market, their mindset, themselves, when the actual obstacle is something completely different.
I want readers to walk away knowing they're not broken, not failing, not behind. They're just blind to what's really going on. My hope is that readers walk away with the confidence to pause, look deeper, and ask a better question, then use the right framework, like my O-DNA framework in the book, to find their obstacle’s actual DNA. This way, they’ll be able to connect with the right people and take a decisive next step to finally move forward.
Life's too short to stay stuck in patterns that don't serve you. Your breakthrough is waiting, but you have to be willing to look where you haven't looked before.
