UNIONDALE, NY / ACCESS Newswire / January 5, 2026 / Marquis Who's Who honors Marina Derosa among the Who's Who of Professional Women for her leadership in business development. With two decades of professional experience, Ms. Derosa leverages expertise in partner relations, management and mergers and acquisitions to build partnerships that drive growth. For her efforts in the field, she has been recognized as a leading expert.

Early Education and Career Growth
Ms. Derosa began her academic journey at the Saint Petersburg State University of Refrigeration and Food Technology in Russia. After earning an engineering degree in food process technology, she joined Mars Company, where she held a series of roles with increasing responsibility. Following six successful years at Mars, she moved to Johnson & Johnson, marking her entry into the pharmaceutical industry.
After a year with the company, she chose to pursue an MBA at Hult International Business School in Massachusetts. She later credited this degree with significantly shaping her career-boosting her confidence, broadening her global exposure, and helping her refocus on her professional goals.
Upon completing her MBA, Ms. Derosa joined Bayer AG as head of the Procurement Division in Russia. She later transitioned to Merck & Co., Inc., USA first as director of global sourcing and subsequently as director of business development, mergers, and acquisitions.
At Merck & Co. Inc., Ms. Derosa was involved in several international projects. She was involved in successfully selling three manufacturing plants, which still operate outside of the Merck & Co. Inc. network. Additionally, in the lead-up to 2022, she was leading a joint venture between Merck U.S. and a major Russian animal health company.
Facing New Directions in the Industry
Recognizing global tensions and seeking to expand her career, Ms. Derosa chose to join Castrol, bp Americas in the oil and gas industry in 2024. Today, she serves as senior director of strategic alliances at the company. In this role, she is responsible for identifying opportunities for partnerships and joint ventures, enhancing plant efficiency and leading investment processes.
Though Ms. Derosa has found success at Castrol, bp Americas, she has recognized a shift in the industry. Due to the development of electric vehicles and artificial intelligence (AI)-powered automation, jobs are being lost in the global market. For her part, Ms. Derosa works to encourage others, including her son, to work diligently with the understanding that the job market is moving in a new direction. Change, she argues, is not something to fear, but to adapt alongside.
Ambition for the Future
Moving forward, Ms. Derosa aims to continue growing in her career. At the same time, she hopes to find opportunities to explore new places and travel while working with a variety of global partners. To this end, she does not seek to return to her home country within the next five years, but to land somewhere else. She intends to work toward a position at the level of associate vice president or vice president, potentially in the Middle East or Africa.
