Recently, the “Chasing Dreams for China · New Rhythm of Chongqing” 2025 Overseas Chinese Media Chongqing Interview Tour, guided by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and hosted by the Chongqing Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, was held in Chongqing. Representatives of overseas Chinese media from more than 10 countries and regions including Russia, the United Kingdom, and Australia participated in the event.

During the 5-day tour, the interview group went deep into Wushan and Yunyang in Chongqing, visited core cultural and tourism landmarks such as Wushan Goddess Peak and Yunyang Longgang National Geopark, explored local intangible cultural heritage inheritance and rural revitalization stories, and showed the unique charm and innovative vitality of Bayu culture to the international community.
Reporters of the interview group praised Chongqing’s ecological environment one after another. Chen Hongling, vice president of Asia-Pacific News Agency, sighed: “I visited the Three Gorges more than ten years ago. Now there are more types of trees on both banks, with red leaves in patches, and the effects of ecological protection are tangible.” Zhang Weijia, president of Indonesia’s “Deer Sees the World” new media, said: “China has always attached great importance to ecological environmental protection, and I want to bring the ecological stories here back to Southeast Asia.”
During the visit, media representatives went deep into the Bayang Gangzi Noodle Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop, visited core processes such as noodle pulling and cutting with great interest, and closely experienced the unique charm of the integration of the traditional “three times of proofing, pressing and pulling” craftsmanship and standardized production lines. When tasting the improved gangzi noodles with added qingmingcai (a type of wild vegetable), Huang Mei, Vice President of Spain’s European Chinese Voice, praised sincerely: “Not only is this a bowl of noodles, but also a living cultural symbol.”
It is reported that the Chongqing Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese has hosted the “Chasing Dreams for China · Overseas Chinese Media Interview Tour” brand activity for three consecutive years. In the past three years, more than 2,000 news articles related to Chongqing have been published through overseas Chinese media channels, with a total online view count exceeding 120 million, allowing overseas audiences to more intuitively perceive Chongqing’s natural beauty and cultural charm, and contributing the “overseas Chinese” power to enhancing Chongqing’s international communication power and urban influence.
