Formerly from Nutanix, the appointment reinforces the company’s growth strategy and fulfills customer demand for its software-defined, NVMe/TCP Data Platform For Any Cloud.
Lightbits®, the first software-defined and architected for NVMe/TCP data platform for any cloud, today announced that it has bolstered its sales leadership with the appointment of Rex Manseau as its VP of Sales for North America.
Rex Manseau joins Lightbits from Nutanix, where he was responsible for building sales volume for emerging products, most recently as Senior Director of Emerging Product Sales, Cloud. In this role, he led global sales for the Nutanix hybrid and multi-cloud platform. Before his work at Nutanix, Rex held field leadership roles and built high-performing teams at NetApp, Citrix, and DataStax. His experience building top-performing teams and driving customer success in infrastructure, software, end-user compute, and SaaS provides him with a well-rounded perspective on technology trends, storage, end-user compute requirements, and cloud solutions. At Lightbits, Rex will be responsible for all Americas sales and will work closely with business and marketing teams to help shape the strategy and product roadmap. “I’m super excited to join the Lightbits leadership team and help navigate the company through the huge growth trajectory anticipated for cloud storage solutions. Lightbits is well-positioned for growth with their disaggregated, NVMe/TCP-based cloud platform that delivers significant advantages in terms of performance, ease of use, and cost-efficiency,” said Manseau.
The appointment comes on the heels of the company’s tremendous growth in the past two years and the recent fundraising. The backbone of Lightbit’s success is derived from the innovative complete data platform. Lightbits is software-defined, clustered storage that is architected to leverage NVMe/TCP with Intelligent Flash Management and enterprise-rich data services built in. The unique combination makes it easy to consume on the public cloud or commodity hardware and standard networking dramatically improves flash efficiency and delivers the highest performance with the lowest latencies at scale for bare metal, OpenStack, Kubernetes, or VMware environments.
"Cloud Service Providers and Enterprise IT supporting private, edge or public clouds are under tremendous pressure to keep pace with growing business demand while maximizing profitability. Rex will fill a key role in the organization that will enable us to fulfill our mission to lead the cloud-native data center transformation by helping us build our channel network while also fulfilling customer demand for modern cloud storage solutions,” said Eran Kirzner, Co-Founder, and CEO of Lightbits.
In addition, the company continues to fill sales positions in key markets. Lightbits signed on Igor Saulsky as Director of Sales for the East Coast. Saulsky has extensive experience in channel development and management. In his previous role, he was a channel account manager at Cloudflare. His experience includes selling CLARiiON, EMC, Pure Storage, Nutanix, and Veritas solutions.
