Federman & Sherwood investigates Abbott Laboratories Employees Credit Union (“ALEC”) for data breach. On October 18, 2024, ALEC filed notice of a data breach with the Attorney General of Maine. ALEC experienced a cybersecurity incident involving an employee’s email account on August 2, 2024. ALEC immediately launched an investigation into the incident. A review of information gathered during the investigation concluded on September 23, 2024, and determined that certain individuals’ personal and sensitive information was exposed and/or acquired by an unauthorized third party.

• Social Security Number
• Other sensitive information
