The Golden State Storm Announces 2026 WNFC Season Schedule

The newest franchise in the league will play its inaugural season at Laney Field in Oakland.

The Golden State Storm, the newest franchise in the Women’s National Football Conference (WNFC), has announced their full 2026 inaugural season schedule. This marks an exciting step in the team’s journey towards their debut on the field this spring.

The Storm will kick off their season at home on March 28, 2026, where local fans will get their first chance to see the team take on the San Diego Rebellion at Laney Field in Oakland.

“We’ve built this team from the ground up, focusing on strength, power, and athleticism to compete at the highest level,” said Dallas Hartwell, Head Coach of The Storm. “I’m incredibly excited for the upcoming season. The Storm will be surging in every game, and we’re ready to show the league — and our amazing fans — what our athletes are made of.”

As enthusiasm for women’s professional sports continues to rise across the country, The Golden State Storm anticipates strong demand for their inaugural season. The Storm is also establishing a professional flag football team, which will debut during the upcoming 2026 season. This expansion complements the organization's existing tackle football operations.

To identify talent for this inaugural flag squad, open tryouts have been scheduled on two dates; Tuesday, December 2, 2025 and Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
