John Smith has joined Alliant Insurance Services as Assistant Vice President within its Employee Benefits Group. Based in North Carolina, Smith will provide strategic employee benefits solutions to a diverse client base throughout the Southeast, leveraging his extensive experience in sales, consulting, and risk management.

Smith has 20 years of experience in wholesale and retail benefits production, grassroots point solutions, and consulting within the middle-market space. He is known for his strategic approach to benefits planning, helping organizations optimize their programs while managing costs.

Prior to joining Alliant, Smith served as a client executive with a North Carolina-based risk management and employee benefits consulting firm.

Smith studied business and marketing at Western Carolina University.
