SpeedPro Irving Celebrates 20 Years Supporting North Texas Businesses

Local printing and design studio reflects on two decades of growth while expanding capabilities for the region

SpeedPro Irving, a leading provider of large-format printing and visual solutions, is marking its 20th anniversary in North Texas, reflecting on two decades of growth into the region’s premier commercial interiors, graphics, and signage partner.

Opened in 2006 by owners David and Cherie Ostermann, SpeedPro Irving began as a local large-format print studio and has steadily evolved into a specification-driven commercial interiors partner alongside North Texas’ rapid commercial expansion.

Today, SpeedPro Irving operates with a made-to-specification approach that supports projects where materials, code compliance, tolerances, and long-term performance are as critical as aesthetics. As projects across the region have become more complex, code-driven, and design-forward, the studio has expanded its capabilities to support a broader range of environments, from corporate workplaces and healthcare facilities to higher-education campuses and commercial developments.

“Over the years, the work itself has driven our evolution,” said Ostermann. “As projects became more technically demanding, we learned quickly that quality only scales when expertise, process, and accountability are built together. Two of the biggest lessons for me have been growing only when the team can deliver consistently, and remembering that technology is only as valuable as the expertise behind it.”

From Print Shop to a Leading Architectural Graphics Partner in North Texas

SpeedPro Irving has invested deliberately in building in-house capabilities and talent that support long-term performance in real-world environments. Today, the studio operates as a single partner for complex, multi-step projects from concept to completion in environments where accuracy, coordination, and reliability over time are critical.

A key milestone in this evolution was bringing advanced additive printing capabilities fully in-house through the swissQprint Nyala platform, enabling the production of advanced textures, specialty finishes, and oversized architectural graphics. As a result, the studio reduced its dependence on vendors by requiring less project handoff, enhanced its project compliance, and now offers more predictability for its customers. Beyond technology, Ostermann has also focused on building a leadership structure designed for long-term continuity and succession.

The studio’s leadership team includes Ben Hall as Director of Design and Steven Tate as Director of Production, who boast a combined 20+ years of experience in the industry. Ostermann has built a core team of seven members, including Hall and Tate, each playing their own part as the studio supports increasingly complex projects while maintaining consistent standards for documentation, execution, and installation performance across projects of increasing scale.

“We are building leaders from within and creating clear career pathways that allow experienced team members to grow, stay, and lead,” said Ostermann. “That kind of stability strengthens the work we deliver today, preserves institutional knowledge, and gives the studio the depth and continuity needed to support the next 20 years of work.”

Looking Ahead in North Texas

Ostermann’s vision for the future is centered on deepening SpeedPro Irving’s role within the North Texas community, where long-standing client relationships, local market knowledge, and accountability have shaped how the business operates. That foundation allows the studio to remain closely aligned with the region it serves while taking on increasingly complex work.

The studio will continue supporting local community efforts like The Line Project, while also expanding into new areas, such as:

  • Corporate workplace interiors
  • Healthcare and clinical facilities
  • Higher education and campus branding systems
  • Architect-driven renovations
  • Group contractor-led national rollouts

SpeedPro Irving’s processes and material selections are uniquely aligned with performance, sustainability, and indoor-environment standards commonly required in commercial, healthcare, and education settings.

The studio is also focused on expanding its design-assist and code-consulting capabilities earlier in the planning process, allowing clients to address ADA requirements, material performance, and installation considerations before projects move into production. These efforts are supported by continued investment in standardized installation procedures and operational workflows designed to reduce handoffs, minimize risk, and scale without sacrificing quality.

“Our focus over the next five years is on owning more of the scope, sooner in the process,” said Ostermann. “That means supporting projects where accuracy and coordination determine outcomes, eliminating unnecessary guesswork, and building the internal systems and expertise that allow us to deliver consistently as the work becomes more complex.”

Commemorating 20 Years

To mark the milestone, SpeedPro Irving is reflecting on two decades of growth and evolution, highlighting the studio’s continued investment in advanced, texture-driven, and additive print capabilities that are shaping the next generation of commercial interior environments. The focus remains on supporting clients, partners, and collaborators with technically precise, design-forward solutions as the company looks ahead to its next phase of growth.
