The book was initially written for his grandchildren as he wanted to share stories of his adventures with them. Some of the stories focus on innocent escapades from Giurbino’s childhood that most children can relate to.

For example, once he was visiting his grandparents who had several rabbits. Curious to see what they would do, Giurbino released all of the rabbits. He then got scared and hid while his family looked for him for hours and even called the police.

“The book is full of tidbits about me and my life until now. I wrote this book for my grandchildren—who are the love of my life—and my family. I wanted them to get to know a part of me they didn’t know. I want them to know everything about me,” commented Giurbino, talking about what inspired him to write the book and what its purpose is.
