Blue Magic revealed their new case study today on A Comparison of Two Pest Control Methods in a Controlled Environment. This case study demonstrates that Comparison of Pest control methods: It evaluates the effectiveness by comparing their performance in a controlled setting.

-- Natural pheromonal repellents represent a promising advancement in sustainable pest management, offering a viable alternative to caustic chemicals in global food production. This study evaluates the efficacy of Blue Magic, a patent-pending, food-grade, and environmentally friendly technology, compared to Neem oil, a widely used botanical pesticide. The findings demonstrate that Blue Magic significantly outperforms Neem oil, with a 2:1 effectiveness ratio. Notably, the most pronounced differences were observed on Day 3 and Day 5, highlighting its superior pest-repellent capabilities.
This trial was conducted in the Pesticide Research Facility greenhouse in Auburn, AL. Pests were identified before experimentation. Whitefly-infested plants were added to monitor additional pest levels. Research to monitor the efficacy of pesticides was conducted on October 9th, 2022, with eight different treatments and six replications.
Clones were planted at Ornamental Research Station (Mobile, AL) on September 15th, 2022. After rooting, the plants were moved to the Plant Science Research Center (Auburn, AL): on October 5th, 2022.
Data were analyzed using a repeated measures analysis of Variance in SAS 9.4. The results were as follows. Pest species included sweet potato whiteflies (Bemisia tabaci), Two-spotted spider mites (Tetranychus urticae), and melon aphids (Aphis gossypii). Below, shows data for two-spotted spider mites (abbreviated as “TSSM”) eggs and adults, aphid adults, and whitefly eggs with the three rates of Blue Magic. Graphs depict each treatment with the number of pests per day of data collection.
The results below are trends, and further trials will be needed to identify the patterns. The final graph shows a summary of all pests combined and all treatments. Blue Magic was the most successful at reducing populations quickly, and this pattern continued relative to the untreated control.

In conclusion, this study highlights the potential of Blue Magic as a groundbreaking advancement in sustainable pest management. By outperforming Neem oil with consistent and rapid reductions in pest populations, Blue Magic demonstrates its efficacy across multiple pest species, including sweet potato whiteflies, two-spotted spider mites, and melon aphids. These findings underscore its value as an eco-friendly alternative that aligns with the increasing demand for sustainable agricultural practices. Considering Neem oil is one of the most traditionally used pest preventatives in organic farming worldwide. “Blue Magic has now proven to be effective in multiple species of pests, and more studies are underway.”, states Farmer Ryan Early, the inventor of Blue Magic.
About Blue Magic:
Blue Magic incorporates the natural Pheromonal replication of insects to produce natural farming super-grow products. Protect crops from pests while allowing for an eco-friendly alternative to other harsh pesticides. This new formula is non-toxic and safe for use in pet-friendly areas and around children.
BlueMagic is a critical component in correcting the current issues in the farming industry. The commodity can not only reduce the number of crop inputs, but it can also increase yields for farmers while reducing negative environmental impacts and the costs for both pest management and fertilization. It is used on and around crops, fences, barns, stalls, greenhouses, livestock, and other pest-prone areas. Blue Magic repels flying insects such as Mosquitos, House Flies, Gnats, No-See-Ums, Chiggers, and Fleas. Studies have shown it attracts beneficial insects such as Ladybugs and Praying Mantis, which commonly feed on the pest in gardens and around the farm. When used as a lawn treatment and on trees and shrubs, Blue Magic provides optimal plant health while offering a safe and pest-free zone for people and pets alike!
