Grupo Pao de Acucar Renews Agreement with DemandTec for Everyday Price Optimization Software Service

SAN MATEO, Calif., May 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DemandTec, Inc. (Nasdaq: DMAN), a leading provider of on-demand optimization solutions for retailers and consumer products companies, today announced that Grupo Pao de Acucar, a division of Companhia Brasileira de Distribuicao (NYSE: CBD; BOVESPA: PCAR5 (PNA) and the largest retail group in Brazil, has renewed its subscription to DemandTec's Everyday Price Optimization software service.

A DemandTec customer since 2007, Grupo Pao de Acucar operates hundreds of stores across a variety of store formats and serves an economically diverse set of shoppers.  With DemandTec's advanced analytical capabilities, Grupo Pao de Acucar has enabled its business users to execute more effective pricing strategies.  Using DemandTec's Everyday Price Optimization software service, Grupo Pao de Acucar automates the process of planning and optimizing its pricing activities.
