Xander 042, a United States-based Afrobeat artist, has announced the release of a new song titled Overload. The track, which is currently available for streaming on Spotify, was also released with a music video, featuring a beautiful African lady dancing to the rhythm of the intoxicating Afrobeat music.
Alex Chukwu who is widely known by his musical name Xander 042, was born in Enugu City in Nigeria. The phenomenal artist says he grew up listening to the music of Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti and was greatly inspired by the singer's style and musical dexterity.
After years of informal singing and performing covers of music by other artists, Xander 042 left Enugu for Lagos in 1999 where he officially started his musical career. 10 years later, Xander 042 released his first album titled Onyeasiri which was widely accepted by his fans and other lovers of Afrobeat.
On the wings of that success, the singer released several other impressive singles and currently enjoys an impressive followers on Spotify.
