Kaaren Sutcliffe is an Australian author, dragon boat paddler, and breast cancer survivor. She draws inspiration from her passion for dragon boating, weaving its mythology and camaraderie into her latest trilogy, The Mage and the Bird Caller. Kaaren is also a professional freelance editor, serving on writing and editing committees, mentoring emerging writers and editors, and volunteering as a competition judge. Also a paddler with Dragons Abreast Australia, Kaaren is donating some of the proceeds from book sales to this charity, and also to the McGrath Foundation for their breast care nurse program.
