Panorama Garden Estate, Mornington Peninsula VIC
Secret garden with rare white kangaroos open to the public for the first time
“This is no ordinary property; it’s a gem full of secret gardens, eccentric animals and country charm,” reports one of the lucky few who have been afforded a sneak peek at the previously private Panorama Garden Estate on the Mornington Peninsula.
Panorama Garden Estate is a unique and unforgettable garden and wildlife experience, the likes of which you will never have seen before. It’s a meandering set of secret gardens where you never know what you’re going to stumble across next.
Spanning over 25 acres, the gardens offer panoramic views out across both the Bass Strait and Port Phillip Bay. Over 20,000 plants have been introduced along with over 8,000 tonnes of rock. There are 18 separate garden areas that feature lakes, streams and waterfalls.
The wildlife is equally impressive – there are rare albino kangaroos, wallabies, alpacas, miniature goats, fallow deer, cows and sheep, as well as countless native and pet birds including peacocks, geese and parrots.
These magical gardens have been a labour of love for owner Nick Smith, who has spent more than 18 years cultivating a dream oasis.
Panorama Garden Estate is a fantastic addition to the Mornington Peninsula attraction list. It’s unique, surprising, and suitable for all ages.
The gardens are open for:
