A family-owned and community-operated haunted Halloween attraction in Bladensburg, OH is growing
BLADENSBURG, Ohio - April 14, 2016 - PRLog -- Hagan's House of Horrors is pleased to announce an all new haunted attraction for the 2016 Halloween season. We're building a new venue that will be exclusively for haunting and open not only during October, but available for special haunts and private events year-round.
"We've been waiting more than a year for access to the former East Knox/Bladensburg Elementary School to lease space and build a haunt. We had to lease alternative space last year. Now, with the lawsuit against the East Knox School Board, the status of the building is in complete limbo. We've decided building was our best option going forward." ~ Co-Founder and CEO Stacy Hagans
The founders have raised more than half the purchase cost of a new post frame construction building on their own. They've started a Kickstarter campaign to raise the rest of the funding but they continue to pursue other avenues as well. Said Co-Founder and CFO Michelle Hagans, "No matter what happens with our funding campaign, there will be a haunt in 2016. If we don't raise enough to reach our funding goal, it will just be a smaller one than we would like to have but one that we can expand upon as we go along."
Hauntmaster and part-owner Rich Casteel is hard at work creating new and interesting scare set pieces for this year's schedule of haunt dates. Stacy, Michelle, Rich and a cast of dozens of family and friends are ready to raise the roof once the building kit is delivered to the site so his creations will have a home.
The company expects the new haunt to be under roof and in design for the Halloween season by the end of June 2016.
